Bro. James Walker, Jr.

Bro. James Walker, Jr. was born October 6, 1985 to his loving parents, James and Valerie Walker. He obeyed the gospel on November 4, 1992, at the age of 7.  He began preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in December of 1995 at age 10.   

He faithfully carried out this duty, serving from 1998-2012 until his father’s illness in 2012.  It was at this time, by a unanimous decision of the congregation, that he should succeed his father as the Senior Minister of the Emeryville congregation.  Bro. Walker carried out this task until January 5, 2025, when the Emeryville church of Christ consolidated with the San Pablo Avenue church of Christ.  

Bro. Walker has been married to his loving wife, Denise, since August 2005. He describes her as his cheerleader and his rock. They have two beautiful daughters (Madeleine and Ariel) and five grandchildren (Raylin, Raymon, Amaya, Safiya, and Saeed).

Bro. Walker continues to preach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ both near and abroad on various lectureships, forums, gospel meetings, and revival meetings.
